Jody Davidson, Head Trainer
Jody and "Sam" (Grand Champion
Mikadobe's The Last Samurai CD
RE TDI TT CGC)
I began training/showing dogs more
than 40 years ago.  Since then, I have
trained more than 28 competition dogs
to their AKC Companion Dog titles, 8 to
their Companion Dog Excellent Titles
and 4 to their Utility Dog titles.  I’ve
competed and won with such non-
traditional obedience breeds as Irish
Wolfhounds, Mastiffs, Scottish
Deerhounds and Maltese as well as
Poodles,  Doberman Pinschers and
numerous Clumber Spaniels. I enjoy
participating in a wide variety of dog
sports and believe it provides extra
quality bonding time for my dogs and
me.

Search and Rescue
I am currently competing in Obedience with 2 dogs -
a Champion  Clumber Spaniel (“Josey”) and an "All-
American" mixed breed rescue dog ("Nedward"). I also
make regular Therapy  Dog visits with my Doberman
Pinscher Maisie. Proving beauty and brains can go
hand-in-hand, Josey is also a certified Misson-Ready
Search and Rescue Dog with CARDA (California
Rescue Dog Association).

I‘m a full member of APDT with my professional
certification and an AKC Canine Good Citizen
Evaluator.  I'm a member of  the Hollywood Dog
Obedience Club, the Clumber Spaniel Club of America,
and California Rescue Dog Association.  I was  a lead
teacher and member of the Vegas Valley Obedience
Club for six years.   I have belonged to numerous all-
breed kennel clubs and dog training clubs and served
for 8 years on the national board of the Clumber
Spaniel Club of America.  Finally, I was a licensed AKC
Judge.

In my spare time, I have volunteered with numerous
animal shelters.   I was honored to have been
recognized as the "Outstanding Volunteer" by UVHS.
My  duties included training/socializing dogs and
fostering dogs who socially or, for health reasons,
needed one-on-one care. I also volunteered for nearly a
year with the Animal Rescue League of Boston .  I
worked as an active Foster Home for the Burbank
Animal Shelter  I am proud to say I have been owned
and loved by a number of wonderful “shelter dogs”.

As a trainer, I firmly believe “Your dog is smarter than
you think!”.  Every day I am awed and amazed at what
the average dog owner and their pet can achieve with a
little bit of time and patience.
